Step-by-step deployment guides
1. Publish a static website with Cloudflare Pages
- Create an HTML/CSS/JavaScript project in a GitHub repository.
- In Cloudflare, open Workers & Pages and create a Pages project connected to your repository.
- Select the correct build settings. For a plain static site, no build command may be necessary.
- Deploy, open the generated domain and test on mobile.
- Check HTTPS, broken links and caching.
2. Publish with GitHub Pages
- Push your static site to a repository.
- Open repository Settings → Pages.
- Choose the deployment source and branch or GitHub Actions.
- Wait for publication and verify links.
GitHub Pages does not run a continuously running Python backend.
3. Deploy a Python API
- Put dependencies in a reproducible file, such as requirements.txt.
- Expose an HTTP endpoint and bind to the port expected by your host.
- Store secrets in environment variables, not in source control.
- Choose an app platform or VPS that supports your runtime.
- Test startup, error logs, health checks and restarts.
4. Run a Telegram bot
- Create a bot token using BotFather.
- Choose webhook or polling based on your hosting environment.
- For webhook delivery, configure an HTTPS endpoint and validate incoming requests.
- Keep the bot token secret and limit access to admin actions.
- Test messages, restarts and error handling.
5. Before going live
- Verify environment secrets and permissions.
- Enable HTTPS and backups when storing important data.
- Check budget limits and renewal terms.
- Test mobile layout and accessibility.
- Set up basic monitoring and error logs.
